先日、近所の川沿いの道を散歩していたら面白い光景を目にした。
I saw an interesting sight the other day while strolling along the riverside path in my vicinity.
すごくいい天気で、春の感じを満喫していると水面で何かが光ったのが目に入った。
It was a beautiful day, and I was enjoying the spring weather when, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something flash on the water.
そちらに目を向けると水面に幾重もの輪ができていて、それが外側にゆっくり広がっていく。
I turned my head and saw rings of ripples slowly spreading outwards.
何だろうと思って見ていると銀色の魚が水面から飛び出してきた。そして次々と同じような魚が飛び上がってきて、大陽の光を反射してきらきらと輝いた。
As I was wondering what had caused them, a silver fish jumped out of the water, and then a couple of similar ones leapt out into the air one after another, gleaming in the sunlight.
一瞬のことだったけど、その光景に我を忘れ、水面の輪が消えるまでじっと見つめていた。
It happened so fast, but I got entranced by the sight, and kept watching until the ripples they created were gone.
